Join peer artfarm print nerds and newbies for a RISO workshop! This is a hands-on orientation to the fundamentals of risograph.
This RISO workshop is $25 for artfarm members and $100 for non-members. Contributions support common resources at artfarm. Limit 10 participants. Waitlisted participants will be notified if a space opens up.
Risograph duplicators look a lot like a photocopier but operate like an automated screen print for printing on paper! RISO uses a cool printing process with soy or rice bran ink, making it an ecologically minded printing technique. This RISO is an SF5450 with ten available ink drum colors. This machine can print one color at a time from 3 15/16” × 5 13/16” to 12 7/32” × 17”.
After successfully completing this orientation, artfarm members can book time slots to use the duplicator for their special projects! People with lots of riso experience are also welcome to attend to refresh their knowledge and share what they know with peers. Must attend a training before using artfarm‘s RISO.
Guests must register in advance so we have enough materials & space for you!

A monthly self-defense class built for the queer community — and open to anyone who needs it and treats people with respect.
Led by Megan, a trans woman and 2nd-degree black belt in Okinawan Karate, this class was created because most martial arts were designed for people who were socialized to throw punches. We weren’t. So we built something better.
No punches. No prior experience. No machismo.
Our style draws inspiration from the thresher shark — one of the few animals capable of disabling multiple attackers at once — using hand strikes, sweeps, and the strategic art of turning your opponents into obstacles for each other. The goal is never to win a fight. It’s to escape one, confidently, so nobody bothers chasing you.
We learn through games and low-pressure exploration, because the moves that protect you are the ones your body already knows.
