artfarm is sustained by, and for our members.

 

We are a fiercely independent and censorship-free space, funded directly by our community. We operate without grants, large donors, corporate sponsors, or government funding. This direct support model is our foundation—it’s what allows us to remain truly autonomous and build long-term resilience.

How it works: The 1% Model


We ask members who are able to contribute 1% of their annual income, paid in 12 manageable monthly installments. This is a tried-and-true method that funded the original Houses of Culture—member-sustained cultural organizing hubs that thrived across the world.
To make membership accessible, we use a sliding scale. Contributions higher or lower are deeply appreciated, and no one is turned away for lack of resources.

$30k/yr income ≈ $25/month
$60k/yr income ≈ $50/month
$120k/yr income ≈ $100/month
